There's Keystone in every Great invention

Don't be in the Dark About Safety!

June 6, 2017

There’s a keystone in every great invention.

June is National Safety Month. It’s the perfect opportunity to remind you of an often overlooked safety item—the flashlight. They are commonplace items but can be forgotten about until we need them. Here at Keystone, we don’t want you to be left in the dark, whether at home or at work.

Safety in the Workplace

Staying safe at work is a priority. Flashlights are a part of many toolkits and are used for a wide variety of applications. For machinists, mechanics, industrial production, repairmen, and inspectors, to name just a few, flashlights are necessary to see into equipment, to reach small parts, and to illuminate problems.

In cases of emergencies, flashlights are critical safety tools. Choosing the right flashlight for the working condition is also extremely important. With new features and designs, there are many options available to safety managers and employers to maintain a safe working environment and be prepared for an emergency situation.

Safety at Home

With today’s weather systems, there’s no way in telling when a storm might knock out the power. Spring and summer storms can cause electrical outages. Be prepared for these storms by keeping a flashlight with extra batteries in an easy to access place that is easily manageable in the dark. Having a flashlight in every bedroom or floor of the house is smart safety precaution.

For long term power outages, many people will turn to candles. This is not a safe option! Flashlight lanterns are much safer. Having a long-life flashlight with extra batteries for each person in the house is a great idea.

Keystone Lights it Up

Here at Keystone, we take safety seriously and are consistent in our efforts to spread the word about National Safety Month to our customers and the industries we serve. Our goal is safety in our products and environments year round.

We keep you safe by supplying electronics components that make up the safety devices many people need and utilize during emergencies. Our components are in standard household flashlights, emergency flashlights for services like the National Guard, and even smart phone flashlights. Our battery products such as clips, cylindrical cell contacts, LED spacers & lens caps, spring contacts, and accessories are a part of most flashlight designs.
